After immigrating to the U.S. in 1922, he worked in New York City doing portraits and murals until 1935 when he moved to southern California. After settling in Glendale, he taught at Barnsdale College during 1970-84. His early paintings are representational and later ones abstract. The 5th Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow, held in 1995, was a pivotal early edition of the now-renowned annual event, showcasing a poster designed by Janusz Dresinski.
