| Fundraiser Yard Sale (for medical expenses) | |
|
The Moncrieff family is turning their personal items into a lifeline for a loved one. On Saturday April 18th and Sunday April 19th, they will host a two-day yard sale fundraiser at 43440 Laurelwood Court to help alleviate the financial strain of recent medical bills for Janice Moncrieff, mother of two, who's youngest child died unexpectedly on New Year's Eve. Her husband passed away in 2017 after battling cancer. Following Janice's recent 28 day hospital stint including 8 days in the ICU on a ventilator battling septic shock after a 5 toe amputation, where her prognosis was grave, she has fought her way back despite a Myocardial Infraction, Stroke and Shock Liver all sustained during this event. Additionally, Janice has a diagnosis of ESRD and has been receiving dialysis at Sheldon Corners for over a decade. The family, including her daughter Kimberly, decided to host a specialized sale rather than a standard garage sale to rally community support. "It’s a struggle for us because we are used to taking care of ourselves," says Kimberly, organizer. "But the community’s support has been overwhelming, and we want to allow friends and neighbors a way to help." The sale will feature a wide variety of items, including kitchenware, cookware, clothing, electronics and household goods. A large yard tent will house the sale, rain or shine with 100% of the proceeds going to Janice's medical fund. Event Details: • What: Yard Sale Fundraiser for Janice Moncrieff • When: 4/18- 4/19 11am-8pm, rain or shine • Location: 43440 Laurelwood Court Canton Michigan 48187 • Donations: Accepted via; Venmo: https://venmo.com/code?user_id=3622727629932228514&created=1776086000 Cashapp: https://cash.app/$KimberlyMoncrieff • on-site cash.
