PII is collected when you voluntarily provide it, such as by signing in with Google Login, contacting customer support, or participating in certain app features.

4. Location Data

You may choose to disable location sharing through your device settings at any time. However, certain features — such as automatic route mapping and location-based sales — will be limited without access to location data. Optional features, such as Crowd Source, may use background location data to anonymously report relevant stops during yard sale activities. Background location features are disabled by default.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Public Data from Government and Third-Party Sources

Yard Sale Treasure Map displays publicly available information sourced from city governments and other public agencies, such as yard sale permit listings and community event calendars. This data is separate from the personal information we collect from users and is handled as follows:

• It is sourced from official public feeds (such as RSS or iCalendar) or publicly accessible government websites
• It is displayed with attribution to the originating city or agency, including a link back to the source
• It is not sold, licensed, or otherwise distributed to third parties
• It may be cached temporarily to improve app performance and is kept current with the source

We do not claim ownership of public government data and display it solely to help users find sales in their area.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will post the updated policy within the app and/or provide prominent notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
