{"id":140,"date":"2013-06-09T10:08:49","date_gmt":"2013-06-09T15:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yardsaletreasuremap.com\/blogit\/?p=140"},"modified":"2016-03-19T12:54:26","modified_gmt":"2016-03-19T17:54:26","slug":"android-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yardsaletreasuremap.com\/blogit\/?p=140","title":{"rendered":"Android Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a rocky deployment that cost me half a star in my app rating, but the YSTM Android app updates are finally complete and I think it was worth it!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updated the mapping engine (now with rotation and tilt gestures for 3d views)<\/li>\n<li>Improved the location search feature<\/li>\n<li>Improved map refreshing capability to load new sales when you scroll too far away from your home location<\/li>\n<li>Added a new alerts feature to let you know when sale markers are incorrect and let other users know if you find a problem<\/li>\n<li>Improved the look and feel of the map menu and the sale info page<\/li>\n<li>App will now rotate orientation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-141\" alt=\"android screen shot\" src=\"http:\/\/yardsaletreasuremap.com\/blogit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/android-screen-shot-187x300.png\" width=\"187\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yardsaletreasuremap.com\/blogit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/android-screen-shot-187x300.png 187w, https:\/\/yardsaletreasuremap.com\/blogit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/android-screen-shot.png 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 187px) 100vw, 187px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A small amount of users are still getting a &#8220;package signing&#8221; error when downloading from Google Play. \u00a0This is a Google problem that I am looking into and will hopefully be resolved the next time there is a Google software update. \u00a0On the whole app seems to be solid.<\/p>\n<p>For the next major app improvements I plan on waiting until after yard sale season to release any updates. \u00a0If you are interested in getting these updates sooner shoot me an email. \u00a0I just need to add you to a google+ group and then you will receive Beta updates through Google Play. \u00a0These users will also have more influence on future features&#8230; nudge nudge.<\/p>\n<p>The next step is to do these same things to the iOS app hopefully later this month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a rocky deployment that cost me half a star in my app rating, but the YSTM Android app updates are finally complete and I think it was worth it!
