This sweet and spirited lady lived independently to 105 years old — and balanced her own checkbook until age 102!
She grew up in Boyle Heights, never drove a car, yet somehow managed to travel the world. According to family, she never turned down an outing, was fiercely loyal to her friends, drank her coffee strong and black, and politely avoided vegetables whenever possible.
