This Berkeley Hills home is alive with the olden days of 🇫🇷 France, other foreign pieces, and nice American touches as well! France: From the Antique French 19th century Louis Philippe walnutdaybed, to the 19th century Empire walnut commode, marble top bedside table,walnut writing desk,and buffet a deuxcorps kitchen pantry and electrified Napoleon iii oil lamps, to Frenchart, music, linens, shipping crates, bentwood and metal coat hooks, Majolica orchid cache pot,andcopper cooking vessels, antique cast iron Force balance scale and fireback, and finally,to amodern French Cinna convertible futon sofa bed, Ooohla lah,tres bien! (Sorry, I can’t help myself)… A taste ofMorocco,Turkey, and Persiatoo: Hand-woven rugs from all 3, Moroccan woman in Hijab carved from Tula wood, American Furniture: Eames-style molded plastic kitchen chairs, Teak Adirondack patio chairs with ottomans, teak patio table with retractable leaf and 4chairs, vintage yellow metal medical cabinet, vintage plate rack, antique Saxony spinning wheel,Club armchair, pencil reed bamboo coffee table, sweet wooden farmhouse style dropleaf dining andtavern tables, lotsa random wooden chairs. Ahh, and then there’s the custom-made sectional desk, and plenty of office chairs, bookcases, and lateral steel filing cabinets to keep it company, but housedin the basement. One more sofa as well, and a wooden media shelving unit. What more could you want? How about a patio bench, wooden folding chairs,and a wooden directors chair? Art: Lots of fine art paintings, etchings, prints, etc., including Jim Krantz photography (student of Ansel Adams/and of Marlboro man fame)and one ofGoldstein’s Canyon prints. Oh yes! And last but certainly not least is the Zen moss-covered stone Buddha statue! Crafts and Tools for the Can-do in you! I couldn’t help but bring over a couple beautiful sewing and quilting machines to compliment that classic wooden spinning wheel. Specifically, a Bernina 570 QE quilters edition sewing machine, as well as a Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond Deluxe sewing machine. There’s also fabric, yarn, knitting needles and sewing notions, beading, and calligraphy. In the basement, you’ll find hand tools, as well as power tools fromMakita, Dewalt, and Skilsaw.
