I have posted my ad on craigslist. Why didn’t my sale show up on YSTM?
Some of the sales are mapped to the wrong addresses. What’s up with that?
How do I send my route to GPS?
It may take up to 4 hours for your newly created craigslist ad to appear on YSTM. If you have waited 4 hours and still don’t see your ad show up my the YSTM map then there may have been a problem finding your address. To fix this do the following:
- select the “Other Ads” tab
- find your sale
- select the “Map This Sale” link
- correct the address information
- select the “Show Map” button to verify the address location
- select “Update Listing” to save your changes
Sometimes addresses are not clearly expressed in the craigslist ad. Often advertisers leave out the city and zip code information leaving it to us to guess which address is correct. Usually we guess correctly, but sometimes we are not so lucky. We have added an “Incorrect?” link for users to correct any obvious address errors for the greater good. Thanks for your help!
Once your route is designed, select the “Google Maps” button on the “Planning” tab to send this data to a google maps page. Use the google map controls on the upper right to send the coordinate information to your GPS device. Of course make sure that you have the appropriate plug-ins installed to support your device.
For the most hard-core of yard-salers who arrive at 6:35am to a sale that starts at 7am, route planning can be especially challenging. The route optimization feature does not take into account the starting times of sales. Such a yard saler is best served by using this site for Friday night sale analysis, adding all sales from other sources into YSTM, then using your mobile phone to access YSTM on Saturday morning to decide on-the-fly which sale to try next (and get google directions or your GPS device to get there efficiently).
