It’s been almost three years since we posted the first version of “Yard Sale Mapper” iPhone app on the app store. Since then there have been a few features added, but this spring we have given the app a complete overhaul and added lots of handy features!
Users can now flag sales of interest, perform text searches, change the search radius, and browse sales in list format (as well as by map location as before). In addition, this app now also runs on iPad, giving you an enhanced experience. This app is available now free on the app store. Check it out and let me know what you think!
Is there any chance you will release a paid non ad supported version of this app? It will be great to have more space to view the maps on the iPad. Also when I add a favorite sale is there a way to view these in a list? I would love to have this feature if not in addition to a paid non ad supported version.

Hi, I am having a lot of trouble with updating the yardsale mapper website with postings that I made on Craigslist. I was very specific when I posted on Craigslist, making sure that the address was accurate, however, I didn’t put the province. When I tried to edit the map with “other sales” that were found, it wouldn’t update anything. Am I doing something wrong? Our community wide garage sale is this Saturday May 12th, and there are over 30 listings that should be showing up on the site! I’ve been advertising that Yardsale Mapper for android and iPhone are going to be awesome ways to find all the sales we are having. HELP!

Monday is not showing as a day in your pull down. All I see is Wednesday through Sunday. Will you include all the days of the week. Though not so many, People will have a yard sale on a holiday. Thanks.
I second having a pay version you can add sales to, without ads. Also have this page listed in the app somewhere – I had to go back to app store to find out that I could add sales at this site.
other things to add – List of just ‘favorites’ way to put a sale on your ‘ban’ list (there is a guy that holds them all the time that just has trash)
I have just finished changes to show and reorder favorites while drawing a numbered route on the map. Next I will add a way to add sales to the map directly in the app. These changes should be available in 2 or 3 weeks. I will look into the paid version sans ads. I hadn’t considered a ban list… I’ll have to think on that some. Great feedback!
I LOVE this app (and the website, although I discovered the app first)… BUT, on my iphone it doesn’t draw routes between favorites or between anything for that matter. Is it now supposed to, or am I doing something wrong?
I have a big app update waiting for Apple approval that will let you create a numbered route with lines connecting, among other updates. The current app will only draw connecting route lines if you send a route to your app from the website.
Can’t figure out how to change the date on the new set up. I can only see sales on Saturday
The search options can be found by tapping the bottom right corner of the map, like the page curl in the apple nap app.
Why is the iPad app rated 17+? If it’s a mistake, can you change it? We have security settings on our Internet (for our kids) that won’t let me use your great app!
Four years ago when I first posted the app, Apple required all apps that show craigslist content to be 17+ since there could be no guarantee that the content shown was appropriate. Since then I have seen recent apps that have gotten away with a lower rating and I will attempt to downgrade the rating for the next update.
